 I invite you to take a few minutes and listen to several of my poems. I would have preferred to have been with you personally because my poetry is an intensely personal and intimate expression of who I am. It works best when I can look you in the eye—that is to say, it’s all about the connection between you and me. Since I am not looking into your eyes, I have only my voice with which to make that connection. And for me, poetry is all about the sounds and rhythms of the spoken word. |
